Common questions

Is this different from an FHA foundation report?

The inspection is much the same. What changes is the standard the report is written to, which depends on the loan program. Send the lender's wording and we match it.

Do I need to be there?

Someone has to provide access, including to the area under the home. It does not have to be you.

What if the HUD labels are missing?

Tell us early. The engineer's report does not replace a missing label, and the lender may need a separate records request.
